Not the first time I have lost a month to some assortment of things but May was just a blur.

My mother's funeral was the day before mother's day. I drove back to collect some things, take care of some reminants of my past there, too. That was a 4000mi/6437km round trip. Took over 60hrs of drive time over the course of ~6 days(more like 5.5 days). Came back to events every weeked (spare the holiday weekend), two of which I was on the planning commitee for. Did filming for a mini documentary in there, too. Just had up the last event yesterday.

The worst part of the mad dash there is I basically lost a chunk of field season with surveys I needed to do. No headpsace for all the things right now. I need some actual down time to process all that has happened but that might be a few months. Such is life I suppose.
