I am being a bit premptive this year with my vacation time. I planned a vacation (more staycation) before the field season kicks off to try to avoid burnout by end of season. I won't be able to get a large chunk of time off again until probably September but might be later than that.

It's not a convenient time for a vacation with all the balls I have in the air but I need the mental break. I didn't get all the things done I wanted to get done before this week off but I think the pending items can wait. Goal is to focus on fun not actual office based things. No event planning, no contract work, no survey 123 forms. I expect to fail a little at this but that always happens.

My goals are to work on the site more, do some fun reading, take some bird photos, start some plants, and stock my freezer with tasty, quick meals. Sure, these are tangentially realted to work, but more fun and I can say "nope, not doing this today" without any concern of meeting a deadline or deliverable.

Biggest plan for this site is to try to get rid of the javascript I am running on here. I can see why people use javascript in a website but it isn't for me, not on here. It has been creating far too many restrictions on how I wanted to organize content. Not much of a time saver for post entry either. All in the learning process I suppose. Just hope I don't break some things again like previous fix attempts.
